OUR FIRST TARGET: STEMI

STEMI remains a race against irreversible tissue loss.

Even after blood flow is restored with PCI, reperfusion injury continues to expand tissue loss.  In up to 50% of STEMI patients, microvascular obstruction (MVO) prevents adequate perfusion at the tissue level, robbing heart muscle of oxygen and driving worse outcomes.

WAV-301 is administered before PCI to protect the endothelium, stabilize the microvasculature and disrupt the wavefront of reperfusion injury before it propogates.  By preserving the viable myocardium at the critical moment of reperfusion, WAV-301 aims to improve recovery and reduce the long-term burden of heart failure.

TIME IS MYOCARDIUM

Tissue loss begins within minutes and continues for hours after reperfusion.

HGF SIGNALING

HGF is a native cardioprotective signal that reduces inflammation, cell death and supports repair.

WAV-301 ACTS EARLY

WAV-301 activates c-MET signaling before reperfusion to protect the endothelium and microvasculature, interrupting the injury cascade.

PRESERVE MORE.  DO MORE.

By preserving viable myocardium, WAV-301 aims to improve recovery and reduce heart failure.

BUILT FOR IMPACT

Designed for rapid administration in the ER, when every minute counts.
STEMI affects 800,000 patients per year in the US.  With high rates of MVO and heart failure, the need for protection is urgent and the opportunity massive.
